  28. PAYROLL USA is probably the most comprehensive payroll system on the ShareWare
  29. market. It is also better than most commercial payrolls. Handles from 1 to 
  30. 2,000 employees in ANY State.  It interfaces to ANY Accounting System (even 
  31. manual bookkeeping).  It does EVERYTHING, maintain employee info., calculates 
  32. pay and taxes (yes, it can handle California SDI), prints checks or payslips, 
  33. check register, payroll register, summary journal, even does 941, 940, W-2, 
  34. and Quarterly State Unemployment List.  Handles taxes on Employee Benefit 
  35. Plans.  Can also export files to Lotus, Quattro, dBASE, etc. Also handles
  36. multiple pay frequencies, and Accountants doing client payroll will appreciate
  37. its ability to handle multiple employee files. Complete documentation on disk
  38. ready to print out. Needs 355K memory and a hard disk. Runs on IBM XT, AT, 
  39. PS/2, and compatibles. If you are looking for payroll you MUST try this one.

  50. A complete set of files for PAYROLL USA Vers. 2.22 is distributed on 2 360K
  51. 5 1/4 inch diskettes.  BBS operators may wish to further compress each
  52. diskette into a large ZIP file then post each of the two resulting large ZIP
  53. files on their board with this PAYUS22.TXT information file, if possible,

  60. It will take about one hour to download both disks at 2400 baud (half an hour
  61. each), or about 15 minutes total at 9600 baud.  It is a big download but it
  62. will be worthwhile.

  83. If you received the two diskettes, put disk 1 in drive A and type

  91. INSTALLATION FROM MODEM DOWNLOADS

  94. If you downloaded the disks over your modem as two large ZIP or ARC etc. files
  95. then they must be unpacked first onto whichever directory you use to test
  96. downloads, or onto diskettes.  They can both be unpacked onto the same disk or
  97. directory.  Once unpacked run the INSTALL program and it will do the rest for
  98. you.

  100. If you experience any difficulty with the INSTALL program you may install the
  101. files manually.  The DOS commands to do this (assuming your hard disk is drive
  102. C and you unpacked the two large ZIP or ARC files onto a directory called
  103. \DOWNLOAD) would be:

  124. Decompressing the ZIP files is a one time job.  It need never be done a second 
  125. time.  Once decompressed, whether manually or by the INSTALL.EXE program, you 
  126. can run the component programs as follows:
